Always performs well but i suspect he was not at the top of his game on the night.

It was a truly outstanding concert, with Tom Russell showing himself to be a very entertaining one man show, playing all of his fan favorites such as Stealing Electricity, Who’s Gonna Build Your Wall? Highway 46 & When Frank Sinatra Played Juarez.
The Post is a fantastic small venue in a recently redeveloped area of north Fort Worth featuring Americana music & paintings on the wall of such singers as Townes Van Zandt & Johnny Cash.

Tom knows how to write a song that will transport you to another time and place, just to saddle you the emotions of the folks he is singing about. He also knows how to work the crowd and has a pretty good sense of humor. Came out after the show to sign autographs and bs with the crowd. I hope he comes back to Boise.

Tom Russell is an American singer-songwriter from California, currently living in El Paso, Texas. His music incorporates elements of folk, traditional country & western, border and cowboy music of the American West. Russell's songs have been recorded by artists such as Johnny Cash,Ian Tyson, Nanci Griffith, Dave Alvin and others. In addition to his music, he is also an artist and published author.
In the 1980s Russell made four albums credited to the Tom Russell Band, which featured Andrew Hardin and accordionist Fats Kaplin. His latest album, Love and Fear, was released in March 2006 on Hightone Records.
