Flynn and Jones

AJ Flynn and Priory Jones are founder members of the rock group Priory Jones and The Mission. Whilst enjoying a great amount of success on the independent scene and releasing a very successful debut album under their own record label and quite a hectic 12 month touring period the pair decided to take a break from writing music and pursue another avenue to which they seemed drawn. The duo decided in early 2014 that they wanted to form an 80’s tribute act to perform in Working Men’s Clubs, Holiday Resorts and Theatres but after a hard 6 months locked away in a rehearsal space Priory had to withdraw from the project to refocus after the loss of his younger brother. AJ carried on with the project along with drummer Jamie and they changed the material slightly and went on under the name of Anthemic Decades. Performing a few shows as a duo over the next six months. After a six month break Priory was itching to get back on the horse and after a meeting with AJ and Jamie was set to re-join the duo and perform as an additional member of Anthemic Decades, however after a meeting between AJ and Jamie it was decided in April 2015 that Anthemic Decades were to go their separate ways as the project didn’t feel right. This lead to another meeting between AJ and Priory and they decided that they would go forward as a duo. It wasn’t hard to decide on a name and it was quickly decided that the name would be Flynn and Jones (the name the duo went under when performing their acoustic shows whilst touring with Priory Jones and The Mission.)

They contacted the agent AJ had been working with as part of Anthemic Decades and set up a meeting. It was agreed that the duo would be represented and then the hard work of locking themselves away in the rehearsal room for 5 weeks to nail down the set began. The duo was booked for their first dates in June 2015 and the rest is history. They have been wowing audiences up and down the country ever since, moving from strength to strength. With an all new show for 2016 which includes many hits from over the decades and a little bit of cheeky on stage banter the duo get you up dancing, singing and laughing along it is a night not to be missed. Hits range form the late 50’s right through to today and if you are unlucky enough you might just be asked to join in with the singing too!!
