Vanished Souls

Vanished Souls (VS), plus qu'un groupe, c'est la synthèse de l'évolution de 50 années d'histoire du rock avec des références telles que Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, Archive, Sigur ros, Pink Floyd...
C'est un univers Visuel et Sonore, une invitation au voyage, enivrante et puissante. 
Après un EP en 2012, le premier album du groupe « CiTies R reaL » sort le 30 septembre 2013 en distribution nationale chez Musicast. Le groupe présente cet album sur France Inter dans l'émission « Ouvert la nuit » et y interprète deux titres, avant d'effectuer deux « release parties » : l'une à l'Ouvre-Boîte (Beauvais) et l'autre à la Flèche d'Or (Paris) en première partie d'Anna Von Hausswolff (City Slang). 
Une tournée se met alors en place pour 2014. Avec son album, Vanished Souls entre au classement des « TRENTE DE FRANCE » : les 30 artistes français les plus diffusés sur les radios de la FERAROCK.

 Le groupe finaliste des iNOUïs du Printemps de Bourges (Région Picardie) partage notamment l'affiche avec des artistes comme Matt Elliott (Cave Aux Poètes/Roubaix), Daniel Darc (File7/Seine & Marne), Fumuj (Maroquinerie/Paris), Triggerfinger (Chato'Do/Blois), tout en apparaissant sur la scène du César Circus du Festival Solidays.
 Cette même année, le groupe présente son premier clip « IDentity » totalisant à ce jour plus de 13.000 vues sur Youtube. Cette vidéo est relayée par de nombreux médias dont Longueur d’onde et la radio OUIFM qui interviewe le groupe en janvier 2015.
 Vanished Souls travaille actuellement sur un mini-LP avec le D.A. Frédéric Vectol au studio Question de son (Kanye West, Tom Odel, Wax Taylor, etc…) dont la sortie est attendue pour début 2016. 
Parallèlement DriX et Svein, respectivement chanteur et guitariste du groupe créent le buzz cet été 2015 avec la musique d’une vidéo virale sur le retour de militaires auprès de leurs enfants, totalisant à ce jour 15 474 835 vues. Accompagné par la SMAC Seine-et-Marnaise File 7, Vanished Souls vient de tourner un clip a la Cité du Cinéma de Luc Besson avec son réalisateur Rachid Dhibou et l’équipe de Derrière le futur, présenté lors d’un concert à La Maroquinerie le jeudi 29 octobre 2015. In their very early years, the band sounded like something that might be defined as a subtle mixture of electro-rock music, airy atmospheres and melodic flows. For the two years leading to 2006, VS composed their songs and kept on performing. At first, VS decided to adopt the “Creative Common” license: their music would be freely and legally shared on the web; not knowing that at the time, their songs would reach over 20,000 downloads. The collaborations got more and more numerous and VS‘s music got clearly linked to images... During 2008, the band created the soundtrack of many short films shown in several festivals. In May 2009, one of those (“Bouche de Metro”) was presented at the “Short film festival” in Cannes. In 2009, VS started recording “Just a Sigh…” Based on a futuristic storyline, this EP relates a “ghostly” being’s search for an identity as he lives in a moralizing and totalitarian society. Their new songs echoed in tribal and ethnic-colored cinematographic universe, entrancing the ears and mind. In the early months of 2010, VS played for the 10th anniversary of Belgian fashion designer Jean Paul Knott where they collaborated with VJ Stello. The band discovered the VJ-ing, interacting with live music and chose to add it to their show. In 2010 and 2011, VS were praised four times: “Starter Combo 95”, “Paris Jeune Talents”, “Axa Talent en mouvement”, and “ADIAM”. From 2012 until today… “Just a Sigh”, produced by Frozen Records and released by Believe Digital, (available on any legal downloading platform), was introduced during a “release party” in October at Nouveau Casino (Paris), where they were playing to a full house. In and around Paris, VS is supported by several Concert Halls where the band prepares for their live performances. In the meantime, they applied and won the music contest “Electric’Cité 2012” in the city of Le Mans. From 2012 until today… “Just a Sigh”, produced by Frozen Records, is released by Believe Digital (available on any legal unloading platform). On October 2012, VS introduces “Just a Sigh” during a “release party” at Nouveau Casino (Paris) and plays to a full house. Also during 2012, VS wrote and recorded their new album “CiTies R reaL”. One of its titles was featured as part of the soundtrack for episodes of the French TV program “Des Racines et des Ailes” (France 3). In December 2012, a member of the band invited guests to the radio show “Ouvert La Nuit” on France Inter where they played two songs from this newly released album. “Cities R real” was released on 30th September 2013 with Musicast Label; Two release parties were held on the 11th of October at L’Ouvre Boîte (Beauvais) and the 14th of October at La Flèche d’Or (Paris).The band will be performing this album during their 2014 tour. The finalist’s band of iNOUïS du Printemps de Bourges (Picardy area) shared the stage on the 20th of April with Matt Eliott at La Cave aux Poètes (Roubaix), on the 27th of May with FUMUJ at La Maroquinerie (Paris), and on the 3rd June, performed at La Maison Populaire (Montreuil). On 29Th of june VS played in front of 3000 people at Solidays Festival (Paris).
