About Goodnight Freeman
Founded by brothers Chad Hadersbeck and Joe Schliewe, Goodnight Freeman’s self-recorded first EP, "The Studio 44 Sessions," was written at open mics in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas, TX. Each Tuesday night, they got together with talented musicians and shared drinks, laughs and music. It was always a good night at the Free Man Cajun Cafe open mic; hence the name, Goodnight Freeman. Eventually the mountains called their name and the boys moved to Denver, CO.
In Denver, they assembled a band and played their first show as Goodnight Freeman. That show helped them recruit now long-time bassist, Jason Spillman, a veteran of the Colorado music scene and prolific bass-for-hire in the recording space. Looking to focus more on the melodic and driving beats they envisioned, the boys added drummer and percussionist Vince Caiafa in 2019. A professional drum teacher with a bi-coastal background, Vince helped bring the vision to life on the stage and in their upcoming sophomore EP, “Past The Dark Side,” which is set to release in July 2020.
Goodnight Freeman sounds like a mix of Lord Huron and Local Natives, with Dave Matthews conducting and The Beatles (George Martin) producing.
