Mountebank

A dedicated group of friends making music commonly compared to Elliott Smith caught on an emotionally decent day along with the more consistent aspects of Ween. Think lyrically driven indie-folk/garage rock with the occasional behind-the-head guitar break.

Michael Valle has been writing and performing with Alex Alco & Alex Lopez since middle school (2003) under various names; the guys met Declan Rory Murtagh years later (2014) and after he and Michael had established a musical rapport the boys joined forces (2016)— all that was missing was a name.

It was then Michael went to Spain for a time where, among the affairs of his self prescribed and usual heartache, he found himself dry-heaving in a department store bathroom stall and reading graffiti to pass the time.
