A lil HISTORY

Aubrey & Gordon were both members of Jah Warriors, one of the leading UK reggae bands from the early 80’s. They released 2 albums “Poor Man Story” in 1984 and “No Illusions” in 1985. Jah Warriors last single was “Under The Apple Tree” released on the Ariwa label by Mad Professor. The song was also used in the film “For Queen and Country” featuring Denzel Washington. The band toured with Yellowman, Aswad and backed Lee Perry, Mikey Dread(Dread at the controls) as well as 60’s star Chris Andrews who then signed Jah Warriors to his own label (ARC).

They both joined Desmond Dekker in 1993 touring Europe and America as well as appearing on TV shows across Europe with him until he sadly passed in May 2006.

They also appeared on TOTP with prince Buster and Mint Royale. They also toured Europe with many other artists from Trojan Records

Ryan (Rjae) Simmonds comes from a church background and has been performing from a very early age.

Mid 2006, RJae landed the gig to tour with then, Def Jam artist, Lady Sovereign. This led him to frequently tour and perform around the world [north America and Europe mainly], playing on major US TV shows such as David Letterman, MTV Total Request Live and MTV’s New Year’s Eve broadcast [2006]. Mid 2007, with Lady Sovereign, he supported Gwen Stefani and Akon on the Sweet Escape North American tour.

Early 2008, RJae was then called played for New Zealand Indie Artist Ladyhawke. This led him to play in major festivals around the UK and mainland Europe. During that year, he also performed on TV shows such as the album chart show and T4: Popworld.

In 2010, RJae was then called up to play for Eliza Doolittle. During this time he supported Jamie Cullum on the UK leg of his World Tour.
