Cipher Six

Cipher Six is a five piece heavy metal/hard rock band from the Mid-Michigan area. The band prides themselves on choruses that follow you, driving verses, relentless leads and the groove to back it all up. Since their start in late 2013 they have tirelessly worked at perfecting their sound. In mid-2014 they finally made their debut on the local Michigan scene and have been playing shows and traveling all over the state since. They have played with national acts such as Alien Ant Farm, Lionfight and Psychostick. Cipher Six strives towards the goal of bringing more strength and harmony to the local music scene in Michigan. With their rise in popularity and the ceaseless amount of shows they have been playing since their start that objective is within reach.

The band, founded by Don Huntley and Bobby Saunders quickly found an extreme potential in Alex Jankowske’s percussion and writing skills. Josh Blay, the next member recruited was initially brought in as a “heavy screamer” but later a realized talent for singing took over and helped shape the band’s sound. Last but not least, after a few member changes on the bass, Zakk Hensley took the cake in the “groove department” and became the final permanent member of the band.
