Los Profetas

Los Profetas es un dúo musical talentoso de género urbano cristiano, compuesto por los hermanos, Miguel y Frank Estrada. Miguel Estrada Jr. y su hermano, Frank Estrada son oriundos de Middletown, Nueva York, provenientes de un hogar cristiano. Aunque Dios siempre estuvo presente en sus vidas, ellos no sabrían que la música sería su llamado hasta mucho después. Comenzaron a cantar en su iglesia desde niños, a la edad de 7 y 6 años. Después de una serie de eventos que llevaron a su familia a relocalizarse al estado de Florida, su padre, Miguel Sr. fue diagnosticado con cáncer del pulmón, falleciendo al poco tiempo. Esta pérdida súbita e inesperada fue un golpe duro para los hermanos. En lugar de refugiarse en Dios, los hermanos se involucraron con la gente equivocada y tomaron malas decisiones. El proceso de sanidad fue largo y doloroso. En medio de todo, su madre y su fe inquebrantable fueron claves en la restauración de su confianza en Dios. Finalmente, los hermanos volvieron al mejor lugar para un corazón vacío, la iglesia. Fue en ese momento determinante que estos hermanos decidieron convertirse en el dúo Los Profetas. Hoy día, este dúo está dedicado al ministerio a tiempo completo a través de la música. Su primer álbum, «El principio del final», ha establecido la plataforma para el desarrollo de su estilo musical. Con este disco, Los Profetas también tuvieron el honor de viajar por Venezuela y la costa este de los Estados Unidos. Esta jornada los ha traído a la creación de su segunda producción musical, «Mi Destino» - un EP de 6 canciones que será lanzado en el 2016. Miguel y Frank compusieron todos los temas del disco, con excepción a la canción «Todo es Posible», escrita en colaboración con el reconocido artista cristiano urbano, Manny Montes y el productor, Obed El Arquitecto. «Mucha gente verá el título del disco y pensarán que nos referimos a nosotros mismos pero, en realidad, esta producción es para preparar a aquellos que lo escuchen para su propio destino. Como mejor puedo explicarlo es como cuando un atleta se está preparando para ‘el momento’ mientras escucha música para enfocarse, éste álbum es uno para prepararte para el momento», compartió Frank sobre su deseo de que esta producción sirva como herramienta en la jornada espiritual de cada oyente. Su primer sencillo, titulado «Elévame» ha moldeado su salida al mercado de habla hispana, llegando al tope de las listas en las radios cristianas en los Estados Unidos y Latinoamérica. Habiendo compartido tarima con Manny Montes, Tercer Cielo y Héctor «El Father», todos pioneros en la industria de Música Cristiana en Español, Los Profetas ciertamente están dejando su huella musical. Igualmente, Los Profetas está alcanzando al público no sólo en español pero también en inglés. Su más reciente y primer sencillo en inglés, Purpose (Propósito) está arrasando las listas en Billboard de las estaciones de música cristiana en los Estados Unidos. Todos estos logros están impulsando al dúo y estableciendo el camino para su gira en EEUU durante el 2016, la cual incluirá el festival SXSW, Kingdom Experience en Austin, TX, Upside Down Experience y Fashion Meets Reggae, ambos en Florida. Lo que comenzó como un llamado y una misión, se ha convertido en una realidad, transformando a dos niños en hombres que continuamente buscan a Dios, ministrando y siendo un ejemplo a la juventud. Los Profetas (The Prophets) is talented duo in the Christian urban music genre, comprised of brothers Miguel and Frank Estrada. Miguel Estrada Jr. and his brother, Frank Estrada were born and raised in Middletown, New York, to a Christian home. Although God was ever present in their lives, they did not know that music would be their calling until much later. They began singing in church as young boys, at the ages of 7 and 6. After a series of events that lead their family to relocate to Florida, their father, Miguel Sr. was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away shortly after. This unexpected and sudden loss hit the brothers hard. Rather than finding comfort in God, the brothers got involved with the wrong crowd and making the wrong decisions. Their journey to healing was long and painful. Through it all, their mother and her unwavering faith were instrumental in the restoration of their trust in God. Finally, they returned to the best place for an empty heart, the church. It was at this pivotal moment that the brothers became the duo Los Profetas (The Prophets). Today, this duo is fully dedicated to ministry through music. Their debut album, El Principio del Final (The Beginning of the End), has set the stage for the development of their sound. With this album, they also had the honor to travel across Venezuela and the east coast of the United States. This journey has brought them to the creation of their second musical production, Mi Destino (My Destiny) – an EP of 6 songs to be released in 2016. Miguel and Frank wrote all songs in the album, with the exception of the song “Todo es Posible” (Everything is Possible), written in collaboration with well-known urban Christian artist, Manny Montes and producer, Obed El Arquitecto. “Many people will read the title of the album and think that we are talking about ourselves but, in reality, this album is to prepare all those who listen for their destiny. The best way I can explain it would be like when an athlete is preparing himself for ‘the moment’ while listening to music to get focused, this album is an album to prepare you for the moment,” shared Frank about how they wish their album to serve as a tool in each listener’s spiritual journey. Its first single titled Elévame (Lift Me Up), has shaped their breakthrough into the Spanish speaking market, topping the Latin CCM charts in the US and Latin America. Having shared the stage with the likes of Manny Montes, Tercer Cielo and Héctor "El Father", all pioneers in the Spanish Christian Music industry, Los Profetas are surely making their musical mark. Los Profetas is reaching people not only in Spanish but also in English. Their latest and first single in English, Purpose is sweeping the charts on Billboard CCM stations in the United States. All these strides are driving this duo’s momentum with force and setting the ground for their upcoming 2016 US tour, which will include SXSW’s Kingdom Experience in Austin, TX, Upside Down Experience, and Fashion Meets Reggae, both in Florida.
