About Rickie Lee Tanner

Quick FAQs about Rickie Lee Tanner Birth Place: Durham, North Carolina Birthday: March 18 RLT was abandoned at 6 weeks old by his biological father, and has never met his mother. RLT was raised in Belton, Missouri (a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri) There are different versions of the story, but the facts remain true that Rickie's biological father gave him to his grandparents to raise without his mother's consent. The elderly couple could not raise a baby on their own, so they gave him to his aunt and uncle to raise. The biological mother reported Rickie as a missing person and was eventually considered deceased when he was not found after a number of years. Rickie only learned the truth about his abduction after he started using his social security number and received a tax refund. This alerted the authorities to his whereabouts and they promptly accused him of using a deceased persons identity, which finally lead his aunt and uncle to admit that they had been hiding him, and posing as his parents for 22 years. Rickie has a burning desire to find his biological mother, if for no other reason, to let her know that the baby that was taken from her all those years ago is alive and well. Several attempts have been made to locate her including the television show, The Locator, but with all of their resources, they too had to admit defeat. Height: 5'11" Weight: 175 lbs. Education: A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. He also graduated from Pinnacle Career Institute with an Associates Degree in Web Development and Game Design. RLT was the Valedictorian of his class with a 4.0 grade point average. Food: Loves BACON and lasagna, prefers Pepsi over Coke, drinks V8 Fusion and sweet tea daily, always orders a cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper at Sonic, and will eat anything that is deep fried, especially fried okra. Religion: Rickie Lee Tanner is a born again Christian. Hobbies: Plays World of WarCraft on a daily basis, loves to watch Anime, and play video games with his kids. RLT loves car facts, especially about Fieros and the Oldsmobile 442. Rickie Lee is a huge baseball fan, but his loyalties are torn between the Royals and the Cardinals. RLT is a fan of Chiefs football and former coach Herm Edwards coaching style. Herm says, "Know your role...Do your job" Life: Rickie Lee Tanner has NEVER tasted any kind of alcoholic beverage and does not smoke. Family: At age 20 RLT won full custody of his 6 month old daughter and raised her by himself as a single father. Although, now Rickie is married and has 3 wonderful children, in 2003 he became the father of an angel when his youngest daughter passed away. RLT has a son that was diagnosed with a fatty acid oxidation disorder, and is autistic. (visit www.fodsupport.org and www.autismspeaks.org for more information). Nothing means more to Rickie Lee Tanner than his wife and family. That is why he participates whenever possible in children's charity fund raisers to not only help his children but others like them. Music: Rickie likes all music regardless of genre. He listens to oldies, metal, easy listening, and country radio stations daily. RLT listens to internet radio at work to hear new and indie artists that don't get played on commercial radio. Rickie Lee plays guitar, and is an accomplished songwriter. He has had impressive showings in contests like Nashville Star, Pop Stars, and The Colgate Country Showdown. He has performed for audiences with numbers in the thousands, and has opened for numerous successful recording artists over the years (Gary Allen, Chris Cagle, John Anderson, Eddie Money, Gwen Sebastian, Montgomery Gentry, JT Hodges, Tyler Farr, Josh Gracin, Mark Wills, The Dixie Chicks, David Allen Coe, Bret Michaels, Randy Houser, Craig Morgan, Parmalee, Josh Abbott, Gary Nichols, and Justin Moore). He is very patriotic and begins every show by singing the National Anthem. Currently, he is touring to support his second album, THIS HERE, produced by Rob Daniels and Jake Clayton in Troy Luccketta's TML Studios in Nashville, TN., Mixed by Grammy Nominated artist Tim Carter, and Mastered by Sage Audio, Nashville, TN. Work: Rickie Lee has had numerous day jobs to pay the bills, such as night stocker at Sam's Club, and working for an amusement park, a pharmaceutical company, and an insurance company. RLT is a licensed fork lift operator, and has worked as a web designer and computer programmer. Rickie Lee Tanner's album 'This Here' Available on iTunes, Amazon Mp3, and CDbaby!
