The elderly couple could not raise a baby on their own, so they gave him to his aunt and uncle to raise. The biological mother reported Rickie as a missing person and was eventually considered deceased when he was not found after a number of years. Rickie only learned the truth about his abduction after he started using his social security number and received a tax refund. This alerted the authorities to his whereabouts and they promptly accused him of using a deceased persons identity, which finally lead his aunt and uncle to admit that they had been hiding him, and posing as his parents for 22 years. Rickie has a burning desire to find his biological mother, if for no other reason, to let her know that the baby that was taken from her all those years ago is alive and well.
