From humble beginnings in the folk clubs of San Francisco, to hundreds of concerts across thousands of miles, Quiles & Cloud give voice to the landscape of modern America with the timeless blend of storytelling, vocal harmony and acoustic instrumentation. BEYOND THE RAIN, produced by Compass Records co-founder and GRAMMY-winning banjoist Alison Brown, is Quiles & Cloud's debut record with the label. Their poetic minimalism and pristine harmonies bring to mind bands like Iron & Wine and The Weepies, but their musical portraits of American landmarks such as Deep Ellum and the Rio Grande are distinctly their own. Their music reflects upon the vast and uncharted landscape of existence with heart and humble sensitivity. Poetry and emotion carried soft as feathers on a wind-like current of acoustic sound.
