Angelica Robinson

My name is Angelica Robinson and I am a singer-songwriter from a small town called Fayetteville, Georgia. Almost 2 years ago, I dropped everything and moved to Nashville with $120, a guitar, and a dream.

I can still remember endless road trips as a little girl, bare feet on the dashboard, singing at the top of my lungs from my mom's beat-up old Honda. I was obsessed with pop-stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilara. Around the age of 12, I developed a strong craft for songwriting, and expanded my range from pop music to blues and soul. My mom introduced me to blues singer Norah Jones at a young age, which caused my style of music to consist of a variety of genres. Today, you might hear an even compilation of country, pop, and even folk through my creations. I now look up to artists like Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris, and I hope to follow in their footsteps by being straight-forward and honest about the experiences I have faced in life.

I always knew that music was a passion of mine, but growing up with a single mom, my dreams seemed so far-fetched. My mother raised me to be loving and independent, and to always treat others how I want to be treated. I try to live by these standards in life, and to portray my values through my music.

In the summer of 2014, I decided to sell absolutely everything in a yard sale that I hosted in my hometown, in hopes of raising enough money to support myself in Nashville. For the rest of the summer, I worked 3 jobs and made weekend trips up to Music City to find a place to live. Upon my arrival in Nashville in August of 2014, I immediately began my journey in hopes of making it to the top.

2 years later...

You can find me performing at legendary venues around Nashville, such as, The Listening Room, 12th & Porter, The Row, The Bridge Bar, Bootlegger's Inn, Margaritaville, Benchmark, and many more. I released my debut EP 'Where I'm From' in October of 2015, which is made up of original music about growing up in a small town, and can be found on iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon! In December of 2015, I released a music video for my original song "Innocence", which was directed and produced by the award-winning team at Tweety Productions of Nashville.
