About The People Arise

The People were a ragtag bunch of mates from Liverpool, famous for their dancey riffs, infectious indie-pop choruses and shambolic, unpredictable gigs. Although on the verge of greatness, they disbanded after an alcohol induced riot in early 2005. The People were: Kieron Clarke, Simon Davie, Al Robinson, Toby Sinclair, Chris Wallbank, and later Kieron was replaced by John Major (not that one).

(There has been two other bands called "The People". One of which played a few shows with Nada Surf back in 2003. They were from Kansas... or somewhere like that. ;) That instance of "The People" likely disbanded, but it is uncertain. The other "The People" comes from Stockholm (Sweden). It's a four-piece rock/blues/garage/punk-band)
