Tame The Sun

A true rock powerhouse, Tame the Sun possess a presence and energy that modern rock music is yet to see. A musical universe of its own, it is a universe that has begun to expand at an immeasurable rate. The band formed in 2016 and has already achieved an enormous amount of momentum and earned a reputation for their blistering and tight live shows. They have shared the stage with some of Australia’s premier rock acts and July 2016 saw the release of the band’s debut EP ONE which charted to a high of number #38 on the ITunes rock charts. Then, only six months, after breaking onto the scene, the group played to a sold out Yah Yah’s in Fiztroy, Australia to celebrate the launch of ONE. Tone Deaf, Australia’s premiere music blog, described it as, “Fierce driving rock. As far as debuts go these guys have come roaring out of the gate”. The EP has been well received by the industry and fans alike with many songs receiving heavy rotation internationally and within Australia on community and Internet radio, as well as some national support from mainstream majors MIX FM and Triple M Australia. In fact, the debut single 'Back In The Game' led to the band being nominated for 'Best Rock Artist' at the 2016 Australian Independent Music Awards, which were held at Sydney’s prestigious Enmore theatre in October. Currently, the band is preparing to unleash its sound and message to a much wider audience with plans to record a debut album and extensively tour outside of Australia. In a world seemingly full of negative, it is time to remind people that it’s ok to have a dream and to live without being judged. “There is nothing in this world you can't do if you love it enough.” Dream big and make it happen.
