Tammy Wood & Stephen Drinkwater

Originally from Mascouche, QC, Tammy started singing at the age of 21 on a dare! Out with friends one night, she was asked by the group Country Dynasty if anyone wanted to get up and sing. The rest, as they say, is history!!! She sang American Country Music for over 20 years on and off with "Country Dynasty" and "Black Canyon".

Born in Sorel, QC, Stephen started playing the guitar when he turned 14, a passion he carries to this day. As lead guitar player in various Heavy Metal, Rock & Roll and Retro bands, he played bars and festivals around the province of Quebec.

Tammy and Stephen, met in the office where they both worked and immediately hit it off. When Tammy got a gig with her old band. Stephen went to see her sing but he warned her she could never turn him into a country music fan. He was wrong! The next day he asked Tammy to make him listen to “good 'ole” country music. Despite his best efforts, he was hooked!
Having been asked to sing at the office Christmas party in 2014, Tammy accepted, volunteering Stephen to back her up. When confronted with the problem of not having an acoustic guitar, Tammy simply answered “well you need to buy one!”. The pair started practising together, quickly realizing they might have something magical together both as a country duo and in real life. They became a couple and started to spend more and more time playing and writing new music.

Their first steps on stage were on May 22nd 2015 at “Rendez Vous Chez Franky”. They had been asked to do a benefit concert for Multiple Sclerosis, the response was more than positive!!! Word spread like wildfire of this new duo and they started to get asked to do more and more shows.

December 2015 saw the duo go into the studio to record their first album. The 12 songs were written and performed by the duo with the collaboration of the musical group “Syldan”. The album was launched in early April 2016, to great success and a sold out show. It was a hit!!
