Donoma was fantastic - tight and entertaining. The female Misfits tribute band Hymen Moments was fun. Other two bands above average.

About Donoma

When Donoma, calling Kenosha, Wisconsin home, decided it was time to lay down some songs and record their second studio album, things quickly became much bigger than they had originally planned. From a weekend of self produced songs to being in a studio produced by Mike Hoffmann (whose production credits include The Verve Pipe, Willy Porter, and Violent Femmes' drummer Victor DeLorenzo, to name a few) for over a year. From recording eight songs to twenty-six. From a small local release to a successful Kickstarted campaign that raised over $10,000. Eventually those recordings were paired down to twelve songs. Twelve songs that lyrically explore life, love lost, love gained. Hope and pain. Songs that challenge who we stand forts individuals and what we stand for as a society. While all along keeping the sound that the Wisconsin State Journal called "one of the most eclectic bands in the state", keeping the listener on their toes from tracks one through twelve. Along the way Donoma has played over 500 live shows since forming in 2008 throughout the midwest. Sine starting the recordings for "Falling Forward" they have been direct openers for Candlebox, Meat Puppets, Soul Asylum, Tantric, Wayland, and Rusted Root. With boundless energy, fierce determination, and pirate like charisma, they captivate and win over audiences whenever they step on stage. Dan Pavelitch's review of the album in the 'Kenosha News' had this to say; "While the band is multi-talented on so many levels, their greatest strength is their chameleon-like ability to avoid sounding like their influences... , for my money, vocalist Stephanie Vogt leads her team like a more-aggressive Jim Morrison..., Donoma fires on all cylinders with the driving rock of "Sick", the gritty funk of "Memory" and the pretty, pleading ballad, "Come With Me." The songs are captivating and honest, in a way that requires you to pay attention. Highly recommended." Donoma is: Stephanie Michelle Nick Tim Israel Join the Tribe.
