BIOGRAPHY

Julien Dejehet is known by the artist name Shocks-Deep, this young DJ talent was born in Namur in 1984. During his teenage years he discovered New-Beat, Disco, dance music and Hip Hop. At 15 he discovers electronic music through a friend, he immediately fell head over heels for this music style, moreover thanks to a huge name in the scene, Carl Cox. He then starts listening to DJs such as JEFF MILLS , JUAN ATKINS, SVEN VÄTH , KRAFTWERK, ...

Developing a true passion for electronic music he goes to festivals such as I LOVE TECHNO, PORNOGRAPHIC (LABEL MARCO BAILEY), PROJEKT, TIME-WARP, AWAKENINGS, MONEGROS DESERT FESTIVAL, CITY PARADE, ... He meets Belgian talents Redhead , Marco Bailey, Tom Hades , Soren Alberg.
A smaller party concept in the French speaking part of Belgium called STRUCTURE BETON, combining underground rave music styles such as DRUM&BASS,BREAKCORE, DRUMCORE, HARDCORE is also very much appreciated by Julien.
His ecclectism in music styles allows him to build a diverse foundation throughout the years.

At the age of 18 he meets THE OFFENDERS, two brothers from the Dinant region and organizers of the EFFET SECONDAIRE drum 'n bass parties in Liège. They become good friends and Julien offers his help behind the scenes which allows him to meet drum 'n bass superstars such as DJ HAZARD, SIMON BASSLINE SMITH, DJ CLIPZ, FIGURE, CALVERTON.

All of this gave him one single desire: mixing and composing electronic music.

When he's 25 he buys his first DJ equipment and discovers he prefers TECHNO ,TECH-HOUSE and MINIMAL, inspired by releases from CARL COX , UMEK , JUAN DDD , GEORGE PRIVATTI , RICHIE HAWTIN , DUBFIRE, ...
He starts organizing garden and cellar parties followed by invites to parties in the Walloon region, being on the same lineups with artists such as ALEXANDER KOWALSKI, TRISH VAN EYDE, FABRICE LIG, GEROME SPORTELLI, DART DAKMAN AKA JAVI ALWAYS.

2013 is a big year for him as he signs a deal with one of the best Belgian electronic music radio stations, RADIO STUDIO ONE. He sees himself booked at parties such as LIFE CLUB, TEKNOIZE, INSIDE OUT, STUDIO TIME, TERRASSE, MD's Bar.

In 2014 he signed it's first EP on one Secret Techno Label independent Danish label

In 2015 he took part in the Festivibe agency and sign an EP on Subtec Records

In 2016 there are several contact by passionate friends like him electronic music together and it creates
Make It - Namur Music Collective brings together
among other DJs / producers, radio producers, graphic artists, promoters and clubbers warned, Make it, joining forces for the good of your ears and your outings

His passion and ambition are ever-growing!
