Act of Departure

Act of Departure è un progetto musicale nato all'inizio del 2014 con l'intento iniziale di unire sonorità metalcore a quelle melodic death ed electro.
Dopo più di un anno di duro lavoro e la stabilizzazione della lineup, a marzo 2015 vede luce il primo EP "Our Past, Our Tragedy" registrato ai Minefield studios di San Marino e mixato da Giacomo Parenti.

Nel frattempo però le modifiche di lineup e l'ispirazione musicale portano la band a mettersi subito al lavoro per l'album di debutto "I Am Humanity", rilasciato il 10 luglio 2015.
Questo nuovo capitolo discografico, registrato e mixato da Andrea Marcomini, segna una significativa evoluzione della band sia dal punto di vista musicale, con un sound più potente ed allo stesso tempo attuale, con l'aggiunta di elementi dubstep e a tratti orchestrali, sia liricalmente.
Nel 2016 la band vede un ulteriore cambiamento di formazione e altrettanto di sound, infatti il 7 ottobre il secondo album del gruppo dal titolo "Guide Me".
In questo terzo cd sempre prodotto da Andrea Marcomini, la band trova un suono molto più compatto e potente arricchito da tappeti orchestrali misti a synth.

Act of Departure were born in early 2014 with the first intent to mix Metalcore and melodic death sonorities with an electronic sound in the background. After an year of hard work and some lineup changes, the first EP "Our Past, Our Tragedy" is released in march 2015, mixed by Helia's Jackie Parenti.

The band doesn't waste any time though, and the debut full length album "I Am Humanity" is brought to light on 10th july 2015.
This new discographic chapter, recorded, mixed and mastered by Andrea Marcomini from The End At The Beginning, represents a true evolution for the band, both lyrically and musically, as the 5 Italians get to achieve a balanced yet powerful post-hardcore sound by blending the heaviest breakdowns with anthemic choruses, crunchy dubstep drops and a touch of classy orchestral elements.
In 2016 the band changed line-up again and they dedicated themself to the composition of "Guide Me" their second album, released 7th October.
Always produced by Andrea Marcomini this new record show a sound more strong with more synth/orchestral bases respect the first Full length.
