GIANLUCA PALMIERI Drummer – Performer - Instructor INSTRUCTION Born in Napoli, Italy, 02/17/1982, he started playing drums at the age of 12. Private studies with Sergio di Natale, Maxx Furian, Chuck Silverman, Ed Roscetti and Joel Taylor, Chuck Flores, Donny Gruendler, Charlie Waymire, etc. - Winner of the Carlos Vega Memorial Scolarship 2006 – Musicisans Institute (Los Angeles) - MUSICIANS INSTITUTE (PIT), Hollywood CA, Associate of Arts Degree, 2007 - Winner of the Outstanding Player Achievement Award 2007 (PIT – Musicians Institute) Drum Instructor at MUSICIANS INSTITUTE in Hollywood, California International Clinician for Yamaha Drums and Paiste Cymbals. COLLABORATIONS In 2007 Gianluca becomes the official drummer for guitar virtuoso GREG HOWE, following to a drum legend such as Dennis Chambers, and recording his last instrumental album Sound Proof (Tone Center 2008). After many world tours and several collaborations with this band, he is now the former drummer of the new band MARAGOLD, featuring Greg Howe on guitar, Meghan Krauss on vocals and Kevin Vecchione on bass, releasing their first album “MARAGOLD” in April 2013. He is currently working on a new record with him, also involving famous guest musicians.
