About The Dustbowl Children
The Dustbowl Children are an unsigned, UK based Alt-Rock group who’s sound has been dubbed by BBC Introducing as ‘Swampy Bluesy Rock’ consisting of heavy overdriven slide guitar, Rock n’ Roll guitar breaks and a rhythm section designed to floor any audience with complex drum patterns and thundering baselines.
The band have supported international artists such as Wille and The Bandits, Shlomo, Bite The Buffalo, Sam Green and The Midnight Heist, Blair Dunlop and Echo Town across the South West of England and have played venues such as The Convent Club, Tavistock Wharf and Falmouth Princess Pavilions. TDC have been invited to play live lounge sessions for a variety of BBC stations and also have played at a few BBC run stages over last years festival season, namely Boardmasters and Looe Festivals.
Their latest release at the start of March 2016 entitled ‘Hollow Lands’ shows a wide range of songwriting abilities within in the band including instrumental work, folk/rock storytelling, radio-length heavy slide guitar riffs and a peppering of funk thrown in for good measure.
