About Blue Wave Theory

Blue Wave Theory is an American instrumental rock band formed in 2007 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The group's sound is rooted in surf music of the 1960's, but often incorporates elements of other genres including reggae, punk rock, jazz, and progressive rock. The band's music is entirely instrumental and features the current lineup of Steve Rabeler (guitar), Bob Trimble (guitar), Kevin Stamper (bass), and Rob Wolleben (drums). The insistence for each musician in Blue Wave Theory to keep true to their personal styling and inspiration gives the band a distinctive stamp of uniqueness and creativity.

Blue Wave Theory (also known as BWT) and their hectic eclectic brand of music has shared the stage with some of of the world's finest surf and instrumental rock artists including Dick Dale, Messer Chups, Gary Hoey, and The Blair-Pongracic Band. BWT has also performed with many of the coolest east coast bands including Mister Neutron, The Coffin Daggers, The Supertones, The Octomen, and Creem Circus. The group performs at music venues throughout New Jersey, Philadelphia, and New York City, including the Sellersville Theater, World Cafe Live, MilkBoy, The Brighton Bar, The Anchor's Bend, Otto’s Shrunken Head, and the Coney Island Boardwalk.
