PurEnvy hail from the steel city of Newcastle, Australia. Fusing elements of thrash metal with harmonies reminiscent of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, PurEnvy have been perfecting their craft for many years, appealing to a wide range of heavy music fans, and attracting a loyal following along the way.
After the 2013 release of their first album “As The Light Fades”, PurEnvy focused on refining their style, and released their second album “Redemption” in June 2018. “Redemption” received overwhelmingly positive reviews, including a feature on Wall of Sound’s podcast “Up Against the Wall”. The accompanying video for the single “Deception” has also gained popularity on social media for its creative take on the unique Australian metal scene.
PurEnvy have been honing their live performances up and down the east coast of Australia, developing an electric and entertaining stage presence in all types of venues. With many appearances at festivals such as Steel Assassins (Sydney), OutmoshYaMa (Brisbane), Thrashfest (Melbourne), and most recently at Thrashville (Hunter Valley), PurEnvy provide a memorable and professional show wherever they play.
2021 is set to be a great year for the band (after COVID interrupted our plans for 2020). PurEnvy are concentrating on recording new material for their next release in mid 2021 and are already booked for the Metal Alliance and Thrashfest shows in Sydney and Melbourne, armed with thrashing new songs, the band are looking to take their music to other countries as soon as we can all fly again.
