About Sleep Science
I started with spelling/grammar fixes but then ended up reworking most of that bio… What do you think of it now?
After spending years in different bands and projects, vocalist/guitarist Taylor Nichol, bassist Dan Lomonaco and drummer Alex Moscrip got together in 2013 to form a new original rock band: Sleep Science. Based in Vancouver, BC, Sleep Science draws influences from various genres to create their distinct, progressive/alternative-rock sound, which is hard-hitting, yet groovy, with deviant time signatures, articulate bass lines and wailing, sometimes ambient guitar work.
In 2014 the band recorded their first EP Avoiding The Cure with Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, Derrival, Little India), and started to build a loyal following with their unique sound and tight live shows. To kick off 2016, the guys flew down to LA and recorded their new single “Tears For The Money” with Rick Parker (The Dandy Warhols, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Scott Weiland). The song has been featured on major rock radio stations across Canada and it struck a chord with Vancouver DJ Todd Handcock who praised it is as being one of “the top 5 indie songs of 2016”. They recently released an official music video for the single and have plans to tour and record their next EP in 2017.
