About The Magnifiers
They might be a little bit smaller than your average punk rock band, but The Magnifiers will knock you out. Made up of 8 to 15 year old siblings, The Mags produce a classic sound with a shameless, new-fashioned twist. These four homeschooled rockers bailed on classical instruments a few years ago to pick up drums and electric guitars and they never looked back. Elliott, the oldest, plays lead guitar and writes the music. Eden sings lead, plays guitar, and writes the band's imaginative lyrics. The Kim Deal of the group is 10 year old bassist and back up singer Eliza. Drummer, Everett, plays louder and faster than you would believe an 8 year old could. He's also known to enjoy MadLibs and sing Fugazi in his sleep. You know, typical 8 year old stuff. Inspired by Operation Ivy, The Aquabats!, Rancid and various YouTube musicians, The Magnifiers set out to write their own music: catchy songs with creative words. Their tunes tend to give a comical and somewhat snarky look at the world and they'll make you highly aware of the probable impending zombie apocalypse. Hopefully you can check them out before then. It's tomorrow's punk rock, it's The Magnifiers. Four siblings from Chicago produce a classic sound with a shameless, new-fashioned twist. Inspired by bands like Operation Ivy, The Aquabats!, and Rancid.
