About Alessia Cohle

After her successful, packed-house, Talk To Me, album release show and radio tour, this multi-talented country singer, songwriter, and recording artist has been putting her own stamp on country music. Cohle teamed up with award-winning producers on the creation of her first full-length, FACTOR funded album, Talk To Me. Her first single from this album, How Bad, has been released to Canadian country radio. Alessia co-wrote the single with Douglas Romanow and Adam Searan, and was produced by Romanow, who has collaborated with artists such as Justin Bieber, Johnny Reid, and Chantal Kreviazuk. She has already performed the single at local Ontario festivals throughout the summer, and has been chosen as ‘The Voice’ of Great Lakes Country – Country 103, broadcasting from Little Current, Ontario. With the momentum of her debut full-length album, Cohle spent the last year performing on many stages including opening for Brett Kissel on his Ice, Snow and 30 Below tour, the 2016 CCMA's Country Music Week as part of the house band, Diamonds In The Rough Showcase, Indie Week Canada, Manitoulin Country Fest, many Ontario festivals, co-writing in Toronto and Nashville with great talents, and making many radio appearances on her Canadian East Coast Talk To Me radio tour, as well as television appearances including BT Montreal, CP24 Toronto, Global Morning TV Toronto, CHCH, ‘In The Country with Dave Woods’, and Rogers TV. Cohle’s love of music began at the early age of eight, when she attended her first concert - Shania Twain’s, ‘Come On Over Tour’. It was this experience that encouraged Alessia to begin performing at local fairs, festivals, and even sing duets alongside her grandfather. The excitement and passion left a permanent mark and desire in her soul to follow a career in music. Classically trained in voice and piano, Alessia’s desire to become an accomplished musician led her to the University of Western Ontario where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music, Honors Specialization in Music Education (Voice). She was then accepted to the inaugural class at the prestigious Berklee College of Music - Valencia Campus in Spain, where she earned a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance. Her musical journey has created many experiences and opportunities that have helped her grow as a musician where she developed and honed her skills as a singer and songwriter. Highlights include songwriting trips to Nashville, performing in various venues abroad, as well as performing alongside five-time Grammy award winner Victor Wooten and Abraham Laboriel Sr., while attending Berklee. Cohle's support of various charities has motivated her to lend her voice to causes such as Tikko Travels where she co-wrote the anthem 'Make A Change', performing at Verona's Voyage for Sick Kids Hospital, and writing 'Weight Of You', a poignant tribute to anti-bullying which led her to partner with Kids Now Canada at her Talk To Me album release show. Her love of all styles of music has helped Alessia define and create her unique musical style. Her music reflects her personality and is as entertaining as it is empowering. Sweet and sassy; between her unmistakable sound and growing body of work, Alessia is poised to contribute to the future of country music, wherever the sound takes her.
