Peasant Hands

Stemming from a background in technical and melodic deathmetal genres, Peasant Hands crave a more open and passionate approach to writing aggressive music, while not being tied down to one distinct style. With a pension for writing heavy movements fused with dissonant melodies, the band invest more raw energy and emotion to forge their songs. Peasant Hands' unique sound is described by some as "Metallic Sludge Grind", "Grind-laden Post Metal" and even "Blackened Hardcore". After nearly a full year of experimentation in songwriting, the group saw the departure of original drummer, Adam Reese. The two remaining members, (songwriter/guitarist) Brandon Michael and (vocalist/synth) Joseph Flores, completed the lineup by joining forces with bassist Casanova Graves (Two Snakes, ex-Hard of Heart) and drummer Joseph Azevedo (ex-Avida Ameros). With the release of a demo version of their song “Black Leaves” the band quickly generated buzz within the underground metal community. Peasant Hands made their live debut on December 16th, 2015 at San Francisco's DNA Lounge, performing alongside Wolvhammer, Atriarch, and Underling. The performance was met with satisfying results and would pave the way for more shows and bigger opportunities in the months to follow.
