About Wantu & The srie 4's
Einmal durch die "Loco Live" der Ramones zappen, schon hat man einen Bandnamen.
So geschehen bei Wantu & The srie 4's im Dezember 1991. Seitdem macht das Bonner Trio PunkRock, früher mit englischen, heute mit deutschen Texten.
Zwei (vergriffene) Demotapes und zwei digitale Singles haben Wantu & The srie 4's veröffentlicht, für 2020 ist eine weitere Veröffentlichung angekündigt.
English:
In December 1991 Duke (guitar, vocals), Romain (drums) and Slap (bass, vocals) from Bonn played together for the first time and gave themselves the name Wantu & The srie 4's.
From very different influences such as Punk, Neue Deutsche Welle, Ska and 60s Rock, the trio mixes their own kind of Punk Rock. The songs are punkly short, sometimes groovy and danceable. The mostly German-language lyrics are charming to crazy and definitely with a message.
