Memoria

There are 3 bands named Memoria:

1. MEMORIA are a metal band band from the coastal city of Perth (Australia). Originally a black acoustic band, they have mutated into a metal act combining influences from death metal, black metal, and classical guitar. Formed in 2006 by Lord Thyle (Guitar and Vocals) and Professor Death (Drums) Memoria self-produced and recorded their debut album "The Midnight Ball" later that year. Although an acoustic album, the songs were highly regarded in the underground metal scene in Europe.
In 2008, Memoria were joined by Dr C. Terror on bass and Gravel on guitar.
The bands' lyrical themes are vast and include tales of murder, piracy, ancient civilizations, faustian conflicts and paranoid conceptions of reality . The band is also known for its splicing of field recordings and samples, creating atmospheric and dark soundscapes.
Founding members Lord Thyle and Prof. Death also release ambient/noise work under the project name MEMORIOQUIA.

2. (its' profile is called Memoria(Czech)) Memoria is czech atmospheric metal band. The band MEMORIA was founded in June 1998, though then it was called MYSTERY. The members were Honza Soc (vocals), Rosta Skacel (guitar), Pavel Chudy (guitar), Filip Chudy (bassguitar), Hanka Ryskova (flute) and Michal Hajda (drums). This line-up recorded the demo „Desire“ at the turn of 1998 and 1999. In 1999 the group went through line-up changes. Hanka Ryskova and Honza Soc left and the keyboard player Petr Duba, guitarist Zdenek Pastorek and viola player Iva Dokoupilova entered the band. In March 2000 Michal Hajda also left because of his busy timetable and was replaced by Pavel Fojtik at the drums.
Memoria

In March 2001 the first album by the band entitled „Children of the Doom“ was released by the Leviathan Records. Another line-up changes occurred in 2002 when the singer Pavel Chudy was replaced by the young gifted female singer Andrea Baslova and the year after when the bass player Filip Chudy left.

Since the end of 2002 MEMORIA has been in the care the REDBLACK. The group prepared ten compositions and in January 2003 they were recorded as a CD „The Timelessness“ under the production supervision of Milos „Dodo“ Dolezal. In 2008 this group will have new CD called Ambivalent ecstasy. More: www.memoria-band.com
