Alex Cambridge

Born in London but having spent 7 of her formative years raised in St Lucia, Alex Cambridge is a singer songwriter influenced by the Folk and Country music she grew up listening to. Described as having "Songs that reflect maturity and lyrical ability beyond her years", honest and vulnerable story telling is at the heart of her music which journals her navigation through what she calls a “strange world” of personal traumas, coming of age and the ups and downs of relationships. Each story resonating as if you too have lived through every detail.

With features on BBC Radio 1 Xtra and BBC Radio London, her debut came with the winter themed "February" in which Alex proves music can be simplistic, yet captivating. Led by an ambient production and celestial harmonies, this emotive love tale was an early indicator of the true lyricism and therapeutic qualities present in her music. Currently working on an EP, Alex's new music speaks of her resilience to overcoming various setbacks, while celebrating her return to music.
