A magnificent intimate affair. Mark mingled before and after a career spanning set. Among AMC & solo favorites were some deep cuts that were refreshing to hear along with amusing and personal back stories to the songs. A big thanks to Mark and our generous hosts.

Last night, I attended Mark's show at Yoerg Brewing in St. Paul. The intimate venue, the old building, and the dimly lit ambiance were perfect for these emotionally charged songs about broken people. Mark's performance was exceptional. His voice has matured since 1991, displaying a rich, confident, and creamy quality. Although he stumbled in a few songs, it only added to the authenticity of the performance. His passion for his craft and his connection with the audience were evident. As the show progressed, Mark's songs, such as 'Patriot's Heart' and especially my favorite of his, 'Blue & Grey Shirt,' delivered powerful messages. A mishap with his amp and the audience's reactions added a touch of spontaneity and humor to the night. My friend, Nancy called out for Gratitude Walks off AMC's Mercury, which he graciously played. I have never heard him play this song solo before, but it now ranks as one of my all-time favorite concert moments. After the show, Mark's genuine interaction with fans left a lasting impression. He signed posters and engaged with us on a personal level, demonstrating his kindness and authenticity. In the end, it was a memorable and profound experience, cementing my admiration for Mark's artistry. The poster I bought will gladly dominate my studio wall to remind me of this exceptional show. I can't remember everything on the set-list, but, in no particular order... Johnny Mathis' Feet (This set opener was stunningly delivered. He massaged the beat, letting notes hang, and singing parts unaccompanied), Last Harbor, Patriot's Heart, I've Been a Mess, Blue & Grey Shirt, Firefly, Outside This Bar, Mission Rock, Nothing & Everything, Gratitude Walks...
