Kell

Known for his elastic and emotional vocals, Kell is trapped behind the veil of cheap, dark indie-pop, yet he is suspended in front of a theatrical backdrop of new wave and post-punk. Kell found his footing through a fascination of collecting and repairing cheap keyboards from thrift-stores in an otherwise folk and punk community. With it came a rise in obsession over dark wave outfits like Clan of Xymox and Cocteau Twins apparent in much of his cavernous sound palette. His post-apocalyptic themes interlaced with a formless and coy romanticism conjures feelings akin to dystopian cyberpunk films and Kell is writing the score.
