About Black Ritual
The ritual in the name here is certainly black enough- a mostly death-core-centric blend of thrash and hardcore with the requsite ripped vocal cord emoto-throating vox. Their 2008 debut,1000 yard stare, was one of the biggest releases of the year,at least worthy of a check plus in the heavy ledger:plenty of that galloping,four-horsemen-of-the-metalocalypse riffage paired with a punishing -yet-nimble bottom end that suggested plenty of good things to come. In 2010 the band decided to part ways. They went on to try different avenues but in 2015 Black Ritual came back together because they knew where their best writing was done!
Black Ritual has shared the stage with such acts as Exodus, Corrosion of Conformity, Obituary, Cradle of Filth, Butcher Babies, Nonpoint, Joey Belladonna (singer of Anthrax) Fear Factory, Adema, Carnifex, Hate Eternal... etc. etc.
