Dark Mourning

The genre of hard rock music has been developing and transforming for the past 50 years. The Winnipeg based 4-piece Dark Mourning has found a way to take the best of the past and mix it up into a roaring gumbo of sound that is truly all their own. ​
The band members have been major players in the Canadian metal scene for years. Their experiences in the well-known bands X-Engine-X and Devoid have served them well. Using these influences, Dark Mourning has emerged as a new force with their Sludge/Trash/Grunge/Metal sound.​
The main goal of Dark Mourning is to create an impact with their music. The rush of creating something from nothing that can truly resonate with listeners is not taken for granted. The full energy and power of each band member is poured deep into the music especially in the live setting. The crowds seem to explode with excitement and become part of the groove as they feel it deep in their bones. It is not unusual to find the audience taking video of their dynamic performances. ​
Everything that Dark Mourning does is to create a memory for the fans and themselves. The blood, sweat, and damage that the band puts in has grown this fanbase rapidly. In 2016, they released a music video for “Devour," their first single. It reached MTV Europe gaining some airplay and a new audience. ​
The European Conquest Tour followed making stops throughout Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands spreading the Dark Mourning musical infection to a new group of metal-heads.
​Dark Mourning released “Warface” in Feb 2018, the follow-up to their self titled debut. The band released a video for their single “Dying Light” as part of their CD Release - delighting fans with a new visual to go with the new music.
Dark Mourning continue to write and play live local shows for their dedicated fan base.
And what does the future hold? The band has set their sights on major shows and festivals to catapult the band to the top of the hard rock scene. ​
