The Temper Evans Band

The Temper Evans Band is an exciting, five piece progressive County/Cover band raised on traditional Country Music, with Southern Rock, Blues, Bluegrass and Gospel Music roots. Temper Evans Band musicians are comprised of a variety of musical styles and influences. In the beginning Outlaw and Traditional Country Music was their main focus. Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard were their early inspirations and with each passing year their musical tastes seem to change. All five are gifted musicians, and their genuine love for music is apparent. Night after night, The Temper Evans Band creates an engaging musical experience that brings fans back time and time again.
Five years ago, Temper and Brother Dereck Evans were asked to throw a band together to fill a time slot at a local festival. Aiming to please, as usual the siblings were bound and determined not to fail and called on some friends and local musicians to help fill the slot. With a practice or two under their belt, they took to the stage with an excitement they had never felt before. Even so, the gang managed to pull it off. As most musicians do, the siblings realized they had the ability to live a dream they had never thought possible. Temper being the adventurous soul she has always been, set her mind on putting together a well rehearsed band that would be able to play a multitude of venues and platforms. After a few months in the wood shed the band was ready to hit the road. Getting better with each show their dream was quickly turning into a reality. As most bands find out, not everyone shared the same dream and level of commitment to their craft. Musicians started coming and going and the band started using anyone they could find to fill the spot and make the show. In the fall of 2014 Temper and Derrick had finally found the musicians they had been searching for. New additions Scott Haley, John Clay Garland and Kris Jones seemed to breathe new life into an already existing dream.
The Temper Evans Band consistently packs nightclubs, concerts, fairs and private parties across the Southeast. With a growing resume, so far the Band has opened a show for David Allen Coe and even headlined a show at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. Working on their first original album and a schedule that promises to bring bigger opportunities their way, the Temper Evans Band is sure to be destined for great things.
