Justin Pecina Music

Justin Pecina is a singer/songwriter from a small town in north Texas. He may not be the rope-throwing-calf-wrestling-four-wheel-driving guy you would expect to come from a nowhere town, but his small town life is present in almost every song he writes. Justin travels for work as a Petroleum Landman and is a musician whenever possible. "My favorite thing to do whenever I'm working on the road is to find the closest bar with an open-mic night and play a few tunes in front of new faces. I may have a full-time job but music takes over my full-time thinking abilities. It doesn't matter what I'm working on, in the back of my mind i'm always thinking about my next song or what I need to do in order to transition into a full-time music career." He first started playing piano around the age of 17 and enjoyed the creativity and the freedom of music. It wasn't much longer after his first heartbreak that he started playing guitar and writing songs. "I would consider myself an introvert and talking to people about my problems just wasn't my thing. Writing songs and melodies gave me the release or 'therapy' that I needed to get things off my chest." Justin's first full-length solo album is set to release early spring of 2014. Talk about patience and being a perfectionist. This album will be a collection of songs he has been writing and perfecting for over 3 years.
