This Ending

This Ending was formed in 2005 and has so far released 4 albums that all have received positive reviews. During spring and summer 2023 This Endings new album ”Crowned In Blood” is being produced. An album that further sets the trademark sound that This Ending has established, simply put, melodic death metal done right. It's catchy, melodic, brutal and diverse.
After the release of the third album ”Garden Of Death” This Ending embarked on a european tour together with our friends in Ablaze My Sorrow. The tour was a success and further established that This Ending also is an energetic and charismatic liveband able to engage audiences no matter what. Following the tour This Ending continued to do live shows and at the same time kept working on the fourth album"Needles Of Rust". When the ”Needles Of Rust” album almost was complete, drummer Fredrik Andersson decided to leave the band. This left the band in a situation that had to be resolved quickly. Luckily This Ending already had a solution within the band. Guitarist Peter Nagy is a skilled musician and has also played drums for many years. He has been the drummer on all "Mörk Gryning" albums except one. Peter was quick to accept the challenge and his work on "Needles Of Rust" is nothing else but brilliant and gave This Ending a new dimension to their sound.
Since the release of ”Needles Of Rust” This Ending released a single in late december 2022 as a teaser of the new material for ”Crowned In Blood”. The single has so far been very well received and showcases the direction the new album is heading.
The situation with being one member short and that the pandemic was at it’s peak when ”Needles Of Rust” was released put This Ending in a position where it was hard to promote the album properly with live shows and touring. However this resulted in alot of work being put into the next album ”Crowned In Blood”. An album that is even more ferocious and diverse than anything This Ending previously has released. For the ”Crowned In Blood” album This Ending has a full line-up with the addition of new guitarist Andreas ”Fluff” Morén. Andreas is known for his work with his other band Bleeding Utopia, a band that has done numerous shows together with This Ending. When asked to join This Ending he expressed it was a ”no brainer” since he has been a fan of the band for quite some time.
For the new album ”Crowned In Blood” This Ending chose to continue the succesful collaboration with Sverker Widgren and his Wing Studios (Mörk Gryning, Diabolical, Netherbird, October Tide, Wormwood etc.) This Ending also chose to continue to work together with Björn Gooßes killustrations. He did the artwork for both the ”Garden Of Death” and ”Needles Of Rust” album which both looks great. Together with Björn This Ending has created their own unique landscapes. With ”Needles Of Rust” gaining alot of critical acclaim both for the artwork and music.
