Earthsleep

Earthsleep is hard to define into a single genre, but if you ask them they break it down as progressive grunge. Sometimes heavy, sometimes indie with sporadic drifts into punk and experimental soundscapes. They are often compared to the Pixies, but old Smashing Pumpkins is their primary inspiration. Their most recent EP Now Is New// And Forever is Fleeting Too takes you on a sonic excursion through the multiverse of earthsleep’s wandering sounds. Come see them live where they are performing heavier new material not too far from metal.

Earthsleep started as an art project in 2009 by guitarist Jonathan Bouknight and bassist Jason Kneece. Drummer Chris Rose joined the band in 2010. The band originally was going to have guest singers on different songs, but picked up Melissa Allgrim as their full time singer in 2011. The band released their first EP A Bridge Under Water in November 2011.

In November of 2013 Jonathan reformed the band in Los Angeles with new singer girlwolf. Jordan Hayes joined the band in February 2014 as their full time drummer. The following March the band recorded their latest EP Now is New// And Forever is Fleeting Too.
