About Curbside

There is more than one band with the name Curbside.

Curbside is an inimitably talented and exceptional band. Together they deliver an
uncontaminated, witty, and blameless act reminiscent of the Strokes and Stars. One of the
unique aspects of this band is their outstanding song writing ability; in which they exhibit erudite
skill.

Driven by Noni (lead vocals, kybd) and Ross (gtr, vocals), they have crafted a truly matchless
sound. Noni’s vocals are unforgettable, having such a unique character and tone like that of a
true idol. Ross’ guitar tone is modeling the overall signature sound of the band; offering a classic, raw and throaty, yet fragile sound. Andrew and Peyton bring it home. Thoughtfully intricate, rounding it off for a huge sound.

Blinded and squinting; they finally realize what that massive, immensely bright thing is out there staring them down. Shielding their eyes with their hands, they head out……

Noni Culotta………...lead vocals, keyboards
Ross Stamper………..guitar, vocals
Andrew Cain………...bass guitar
Peyton Stamper……..drums

The other Curbside was a Victoria, BC teenage punk band that existed from 1991-1995, who released three tapes "Search", a self-titled tape, and "Last Stand". They played a kind of thrash skate punk with many upbeat ska breakdowns, but also included elements of a more abrasive hardcore sound with varying time signatures and dual vocals. They never played outside Victoria, mostly playing parties and some local shows with bands like Face to Face, Black Kronstadt, Black Market Fruits, Left of Center, Boozehounds, Ninth Hour, and Undertow.
