Dusty Sharp - Vocals/Guitar/Harmonica/Mandolin
Dusty was born in Overland Park, Ks. His younger degenerative years of misspent youth were in the Shawnee Mission, KS area. He took an interest in music immediately, with his Mother singing around the house and Father singing and playing guitar throughout childhood. He later relocated to Basehor, Ks. where his natural born talent continued to flourish. Dusty sang in choir through his High School years, scoring #1's and #2's in State Choir competitions. After graduation he continued to jam around the Kansas City metro area with many different friends. One day he had a crazy idea, embarked on his next life adventure, and decided to create the band County Road 5. Dusty was determined to learn the guitar, harmonica, piano. and mandolin; he has done exactly that over the past several years. There is never a dull moment with Dusty and County Road 5 on the stage! Dusty’s influences include Hank Williams Sr. & Jr., Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Jerry Reed, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Roger Miller, Buck Owens, George Jones, Conway Twitty, Billy Joe Shaver, and anything "Red Dirt".
