Hailing from South East London, Vacant is an artist recognised for his emotive style in UK underground music. He uses the city and the daily experiences of people as inspiration to create his ambient take on UK Garage. Paving his way through the music scene, his combination of dark vibes and emotional backstory make the music he produces among the most highly anticipated in the genre. Being raised in London has enabled Vacant to use the different cultures surrounding him to his benefit. He has the ability to take elements from many genres (such as Grime, Garage, House, Dubstep and Jungle) to create the sound that is being stapled “Future Garage”. Vacant emerged on the scene in 2013 when he released his debut EP ‘Motherland’ on Insight Records followed by a self released EP entitled ‘Second Nature’. Over the past few years, he has done work with various platforms including Fent Plates, MTA Records, Monstercat and Inspected. This lead him to headline his first international performance at Russia’s Abstrasension music festival.
