2010; The sad loss of Nicky Smith was to become the catalyst for the start of The Nics. Mac Smith and Danny Stackhouse spent nearly 2 years with different line ups of the Nics, never quite finding the right fit until in 2012 when Rob Skitt joined as drummer. The band was in place and The Nics were ready to smash it wherever they played with their mix of anything that rocks. March 2013 saw another member change with Adam Vickers joining as lead guitarist to replace Danny, this gave The Nic's the massive kick up the arse that was needed for the band to progress. New music and sound began to flow as each member used their background in many different musical genres to bring the best out of each other. This led to numerous gigs across the Midlands, with the lads honing their live performance to its now legendary explosive yet polished state. Once you've seen The Nics live you'll be itching for your next experience. 2014 saw the lads release their first EP, produced by award winning Gavin Monaghan, Blood on A River went down to critical acclaim all 3 tracks receiving rave reviews from all who heard it 2015 sees the band enter partnership with Wolf Music Promotions offering the chance for gigs on a larger scale and in different areas of the country. It will also see more recording with the band aiming to get a second EP out along with the release of their first video to fan's favourite Blood on A River....stay tuned for big things to come! sweet glorious rock
