The Belfast Cowboys

This nine-piece band has been playing in and around Minnesota since 2002, specializing in the music of Van Morrison. It is also the papa group to St Dominic's Trio. The band's first show was on St Patrick's Day, 2002. In December, 2008 The Belfast Cowboys and St Dominic's Trio released debut CDs. In August, 2009, The Cowboys headlined at BB King's Blues bar in Times Square, New York. In July, 2010, the Cowboys played a three hour opening set for approximately 15,000 people opening for the band Chicago. In March of 2011 the band traveled to play shows in Ireland. In July of 2011, the played at Moondance Jam in Walker, MN. From 2012-2014, the Belfast Cowboys and St Dominic's Trio played over 400 shows, and then released their second CD, "The Upside to the Downslide" in April, 2015. The bands can be found regularly in Minneapolis at places like The Cabooze, Whiskey Junction, Kieran's, the Driftwood Char Bar and Morrissey's.
