Jini Cowan, Manchester Producer & DJ is one of the hottest up and coming female artists in the UK right now. Already receiving praise from the likes of Dusky, James Zabiela, Gianni Callipari (Cadenza), Dantiez Saunderson, D Ramirez and Darius Syrossian for her musical prowess. 2016 promises to be an important year as Jini is not only about to launch her own night, but also due to introduce the world to her brand new label: ANIMA at The Whiskey Jar in Manchester on April 16th. Initially hitting the headlines by supporting the legendary Rodger Sanchez at Sankeys on Boxing Day in 2009 Jini has gone on to play at premier clubs like Sound Control (Manchester), Leeds Warehouse & Aura in Cardiff. She has certainly left her mark via her own particular blend of House/ Techno wherever she DJ’s. Originally making waves by co-writing a track with House legend Jon Fitz, and then by remixing Tough Love “Taking Over”, which had full radio support on Capital FM plus being reviewed in Mixmag! Jini proceeded to have her first 4 track EP released by Axis Tracks and has since gone on to sign with a diverse selection of Labels such as: Zipped, Discotech, Pink Flame Music, LW Recordings, Stripped Digital and Alboratory. Consequently releasing an impressive 30 plus tracks in the process which have already featured on Beatport. Then in 2014 came 'The Last Resort' on Yoruba Grooves resulting as one of the top 10 Beatport releases of that year - the EP being so well received was again reviewed by Mixmag giving Jini her third appearance in the industry standard magazine. But back to the future and 2016 as Jini Cowan is set to ignite the Ones & Twos all over again with loads of hot new music fresh out of the studio, remixes of well established artists along with some major signings just waiting on confirmation.
