Fat Cap

As a DJ/producer he was announced as "Up and Coming Talent DJ" in 2007, and nominated for "Best Portuguese D&B Track" and "Best Portuguese D&B Producer" at the 2012 Drum & Bass Awards, promoted by the portuguese website www.cowsonpatrol.org In the same year he won the South Rakkas competition remix for the track «Winding Rave», and got the 2nd place for his remix of the track «Louder», in a remix contest sponsored by DJ Fresh. He was recently voted as the second best D&B producer by portuguese fans at the Drum & Bass Awards 2013 and has released his first single, called "Fractions" (BNCexpress, Italy). His second release was a remix for the north-american crew South Rakkas' «In A Twist», on the french label Overcooked Records. In 2015 he started hosting a drum & bass radio show called «Sub Central» and has signed an EP with Flex Recordings, one of the most respected british labels. Fat Cap is one of Portugal's best talents and a complete musician. Besides the career as a Drum & Bass DJ, he's also the drummer of «Sotie Flow», the DJ for the hip-hop crew «Colectivo 258» and half of the musical project «Specular Music».
