John Marcey

John Marcey is a New Orleans native and has been playing guitar since the tender age of 10. He quickly developed prodigy-like skills with the instrument and honed his chops at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. After completing the N.O.C.C.A. program in 2004, John studied jazz performance at Loyola University. John combines his knowledge of traditional jazz with blistering blues, rock and funk licks to create a truly unique sound. He is currently using his shredding skills playing with other talented local musicians and bands such as saxophonist, singer and songwriter James Martin, the soulful singer Jamey St. Pierre, the commanding Jamie Lynn Vessels and her powerful blues and rock vocals and The N’awlins Johnnys, who blend New Orleans funk and early blues-based rock n’ roll for a truly exceptional musical experience. Based out of New Orleans, you can catch the axe-man all around town shredding it up and bringing a good time to all in a way only a New Orleanian can.
