Turko

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he had his first approach to music inspired by his brother. He started playing drums. He played in underground bands as a drummer and began to play percussion instruments (congas, bongo drums, kettledrums with afro-Latin and afro- Brazilian rhythms). He arrived at 21 to Barcelona, and on summer of 2003, he started to be in touch with the turntables playing the DJ in Ibiza. And then in 2004 he threw many private parties in Barcelona: the succesfull “Sunset Sound Sessions” at the Mochima Bar (Nueva Marbella beach), hosting a number of local and international artists. Performing at the “Friday I’m in Love” parties at DAF club and later he decided to take advantage of beach dancing- with Level 0 parties at the Amparo “chiringuito” on the Marbella Playa, definitely setting a new trend. Simultaneously he became the resident DJ and manager of one of the main Barcelona’s after hours parties with the Burning Sessions @ Bang Bang! and later on he opened his own studio, Studio 52. Fake Out! parties were launched on 2006 at the Nueva Ola chiringuito, again on La Nueva Marbella beach where many well known artists were invited: Michael Mayer, Superpitcher, Anja Schnaider, Tobias Thomas, Pan-Pot, Lee Van Dowski… Turko is nowadays one of the great figures of Barcelona’s night. He performed his high quality sessions at the most emblematic places such as Otto Sutz, City Hall, Fellini, La Terrraza, Sidecar, La Terrrazza, Liquid, The One, Mondo, Razzmatazz, Upload Club and many others. At present, Turko is mostly focused on his work as a music producer as well as on the art and general production of Fake Out! parties which usually take place at Row 14, City Hall, Boulevard, Chiringuito Calamar, La Terrrazza.
