About Caiyo

Countless live performances have solidified CAIYO’s reputation as a solid live act, holding a deep connection with fans and followers from around the world. After crowdfunding a $50,000 budget using social media, CAIYO produced their debut album with veteran producer Steve Bush (Stereophonics, Corrine Bailey Rae). A year in the making, it's an intense, melodic and captivating piece of work that keeps you humming all day long, consisting of huge sounding drums, intricate arrangements and a mish-mash of rock, americana and folk, with a pop piano out the core. The self titled album “CAIYO” consists of 11 superbly constructed tracks, from catchy crowd pleasers like “Burn” through to the intense rock single "Higher Ground". The intimate and beautiful "Eternity" shows a unique and melancholy character, songs like "Blood" will stick in your head after the first listen. CAIYO says: “We wanted to create a sound of our own: intense, intimate, provoking, meaningful. The songs are a representation of life and the feelings we all experience, from highs to lows, sadness and joy. It feels like we’ve got it all here, wrapped up in a fantastic sonic production by rock producer Steve Bush.” Similarly to his mixed roots, CAIYO’s musical style represents a fusion of genres with hints of acoustic, folk, pop & rock blended together into a modern contemporary sound. Live performances reflect an intensity and connection with the audience that is rare, and a distinct ability to engage new and old music lovers from across the musical spectrum. Road-trip-driving alternative, acoustic rock blended with ear candy hooks, intimate vocals with songs that stick in your head after the first listen.
