Black Heart

BLACK HEART is Austrian singer/songwriter Corina Cinkl's new project. Having been in bands since adolescence, she has worked with musicians across Europe on a variety of projects as vocalist, composer and producer (GHOST ACTOR, BLACK EGG, NORMOTONE, OPPENHEIMER MK II, COLLAPSING NEW PEOPLE), with releases on labels aufnahme+wiedergabe and Unknown Pleasures Records. BLACK HEART is a one woman project with Corina writing, performing and producing all of the music. In its unique blend of influences from genres like dark wave, folk and post-punk, BLACK HEART is Dark Pop music, featuring melodic songwriting amidst an atmosphere of ethereal electronic sound. On the full length debut ALL IS LOST (released June 21 on CD + digital via UNDERWAVES) Corina explores themes of love, loss and longing. Inspired by Greek mythology (a long-standing fascination) and some of its tragic figures like Echo and Narcissus, all eight songs seek out the darker spectrum of human experience, voyaging deep into the abyss of desire and pain.
