Mason's Case

Once hailing from East Lansing, MI, Mason's Case (now based out of Chicago) has an eclectic sound and a live energetic stage show that has won over audiences wherever they happen to take the stage. Frontman Matthew Alfano is like an SG-wielding, operatic Iggy Pop. AC is a tornado of dreads and driving low end. Mike Vinopal (lead guitarist since 2012) thrashes about while delivering searing solos. Last but not least, Dave Smith is a full-on electrical storm when he drums, giving Mason's Case their signature sound. Blending elements of hard rock, acoustic folk, punk, and blues, Mason's Case has broken out of the typical college-rock mold where they first began to transform themselves into a band that has played historic Chicago venues like the House of Blues, Lincoln Hall, and Cubby Bear.
