Korduroy

In the Spring of 2013, a group of friends and colleagues came together to share their love of music. What started as jam sessions in each other’s homes turned into a collaborative effort now known as Korduroy. Korduroy is a progressive-soul act but refuses to fit into that simply titled box. With 15 rotating members, which includes two trumpeters, two guitarists and two percussionists, it’s easy to see how they defy one single genre and produce their own “groove music.” Isaac Lopez, founding member, alto saxophone player and lead vocalist, had a vision to harness not only his own talents and influences, but to truly create a melting pot of sounds with his gifted ensemble. Each member of Korduroy shares a love of music from Latin to Jazz, from Pop to Punk, to Rock and Hip-Hop. And with so many chefs in the kitchen it would be impossible to strictly stay on one path.
