Hello world, meet Illicit, aka “The Friend That Raps”. This talented rapper/friend is a respected member of the Boston hip-hop community. Illicit was born and raised in Cambridge MA, a neighboring city of Boston. When Illicit entered High School he picked up the pen and pad. Writing verses to radio hits and recording these remixes with a $20 mic, Illicit brought these songs to school to let his peers listen to in the back of class. Though his classmates were convinced that the emcee on the tracks was talented, they doubted it was actually their friend.
